Authentic Mani Stone House – Carefully Restored, Beautifully Maintained & Ready to Move In
Discover the charm of an authentic Mani stone house, lovingly restored and exceptionally well maintained, combining traditional character with modern comfort. This is a property that has been renovated with great care and attention to detail, while preserving the unique architectural style and atmosphere of the Mani.
Extensively Renovated with Exceptional Attention to Detail
The house underwent a comprehensive refurbishment approximately five years ago. The driveways and garden areas were newly tiled, while the joints between the natural stone walls were painstakingly removed and replaced with new, weather-resistant joints, ensuring both a beautiful appearance and long-term protection.
The roof was completely renewed, including insulation against both heat and cold, and then traditionally retiled. Three additional metal rainwater and wastewater gutters were installed, carefully chosen to match the colour and architecture of the house.
All windows and doors were replaced two years ago using high-quality, premium Meranti tropical hardwood. These not only provide excellent quality and durability but also blend beautifully with the traditional character of the property.
Traditional Mani Style Throughout
The kitchen has been individually designed and built in the traditional Mani style. It features beautifully integrated brick-built elements for the refrigerator and washing machine, as well as a distinctive brick-built extractor hood. Even the hob is new and has been selected to harmonise perfectly with the traditional design.
Throughout much of the house, high-quality natural stone and marble have been incorporated, adding to the authentic Mediterranean character. The lighting has also been completely renewed, with new brass-finished lamps and spotlights chosen specifically to complement the Mani architecture.
The bathroom and guest toilet were completely refurbished five years ago and designed in keeping with the traditional Mani style.
Perhaps one of the property’s most special features is its bespoke, integrated furniture. Much of the sofa, bed, sideboards, bedside tables and other furnishings were not simply purchased as conventional furniture; they were painstakingly built directly into the house in the original Mani style. This creates a truly individual home in which the architecture and furnishings form one harmonious whole.
Comfortable in Every Season
The property is equally suitable as a holiday home or for permanent, year-round living. It offers generous storage space, both inside and outside the house.
Three separate storage areas are available outside for garden equipment, tools and other belongings.
All rooms were equipped three years ago with new, top-of-the-range air-conditioning units, providing efficient cooling during the warm summer months and additional heating during the cooler seasons.
A beautiful glass-fronted fireplace creates a particularly cosy atmosphere in winter and, together with the air-conditioning systems, ensures comfortable warmth throughout the house.
A Mature Olive Garden with History
The garden is home to seven olive trees, several of which are believed to be more than 300 years old. Together, the trees currently produce approximately 30 litres of olive oil each year.
There is also an edible olive tree, adding another charming and useful feature to this established Mediterranean garden.
The garden gate has been replaced with a bespoke iron gate that blends naturally with the architecture of the house. An elaborate natural-stone wall has also been built around the entire property, providing privacy while enhancing its traditional Mani character.
A Home Ready to Enjoy
A 3,000-litre water tank, together with a new pump and filter system installed just six months ago, provides additional practicality and convenience.
Everywhere you look, this property reflects the same philosophy: preserve the authentic character of a traditional Mani home while providing the quality, comfort and functionality required for modern living.
This is not simply a house that has been renovated. It is a lovingly restored Mani home in which traditional stonework, bespoke craftsmanship, natural materials and modern amenities have been brought together with exceptional care.
Move in, settle in and enjoy the unique atmosphere of an authentic Mani house – surrounded by mature olive trees, traditional architecture and the beauty of the Mani landscape.
