Trachila is a village in the municipality of West Mani in the prefecture of Messinia. Trachila is a coastal village built in the small cove of the same name, 55 km southeast of Kalamata and about 15 minutes (by car) south of the village of Agios Nikolaos in Messinian Mani. Trachila is famous for its coarse sea salt, which is traditionally collected from the rocks next to the sea.
